What I've got is a Trane Tracker (touch screen) controling 2 gas pack's single zone & one larger gaspack with 5 vav zones.
My problem is the control panel wont let me change the zone settings (larger unit). I have it set up to disable local setpoints and am programing zone setpoints from the panel, it is now at 70 and 72 for the zones. I tried to open that to 68 & 74 but it wont let me. I put in my password and it will let me change them but when it comes back to the zone status screen it's the same as before. I looked at the global setpoints (if that could cause this) and the window is big enough for these setpoints.
any help??
Thanks

I thought I looked at that, Can I preform all functions from the screen or do I need to use the trane software?

On your larger zone with VAV boxes, If I remember, you have to disable the thumbwheels on the Zone sensors first.

Then you can set zone temps.

Are you talking about setpoints that would normally be set at the unit controller and you want to control them from the tracker panel; or are these thumbwheel setpoints?

want I want to do is set the zone setpoints for 4 of the 5 vav zones from the panel and have 1 local setpoint from sensor.

It's been about a year and a half since I've done one of these jobs, and it had quite a few zone systems and single zone units on it. The zone systems were subsystems operating on the comm 4 networks, and the Trackers' (all 3 of which were max'd out) operated on the comm 5 network. We set all of the zone system parameters up on the Varitrac/Varitrane control panels, which by the way , will accommodate the same touchscreen that's on the Tracker or can be setup using their own software that they send free with each panel. There's a bit more to it, but you might want to tansfer the screen to the zone panel and see if that gets you where you need to be. ---gman

You need the Trane software to change the global setting I believe.
Get the computer out and hook up then yu will be able to get at everything.
