Got a call on a proofer that is overheating. Doesn't seem like a whole lot to these things. Guessing it is the temp control. Anything else I should be looking at before condemning the controller?

Check the heat probe. I've seen them break down when oven heats up. I think it's a thermocouple type. Although, every time I've had a bad probe, it was under heating.

Make sure your contactor isn't sticking shut.
