Hello,
We are having problems with importing LON points from a Distech RTU device into the FX40.
On a scan, the FX40 finds the Lon device, but we can't get the points to be discoveried.
Has anyone come across this problem.
Thanks

Are you using a lnml file for it? or performing a learn?

Hello,
No, we are trying to discover the points online without the file.

Stupid question, but could it be disabled through the licensing?

Hello,
We tried to discover the points.
Don't know if the FX40 is license or not, but it does find the Controller with correct ID etc, but no points.
Thanks

You don't need to have any special licenses to connect to any brand of Lon control.
Is the FX40 online? If your up for it, I can connect and give you a hand.

which version of AX are you using. The latest version you can create the lmnl file with the xif. If not you need to have the correct modules

Try right clicking on the DynamicDevice, goto actions, then select LearnNv. You can double click on the device and see what nv's are available. Also take a look at the station director output and see if any LON errors are populated after attempting to do perform the LearnNv action.

Hello,
Thanks for the help with this,
As per the questions;
1)The FX40 is on a test bench and not accessible to the out side world.
2)Don't know were to find the verions of the FX40. The only thing I can see is -> JAVE VM Name J9, OS Version 6.3.0.
3) I tried to click on the DynamicDevcie and LearnNv for the points. Nothing happens.
4) I finally figured out how to build a xml file and did it and placed it into the folder. Again nothing happens to the points.
What I don't understand, is why does the FX40 find the Lon device with the correct ID, etc BUT can't find the points. There must be something whcih needs to be done for this to happen.
Please keep and giving me suggestions so we can get this working.
Thanks

You put the lnml file in the folder?
View your "Lon Device Manager"
Double click on the device in question, a edit window will popup.
Make sure your file appears in the Lon Xml File path.
If not, browse to it and put it there.
