Its 5 years old, has done this since new, and youor only asking about it now ?

You should have it serviced every year.
Now would be a good time to have it done.

Go to Nordyne.com and get an authorized dealer to look at it.

Nordyne has authorized dealers????

I thought they just flooded 14 brands of the same equipment out to whatever supply houses would stock one of them for sale to COD customers this week.

At least thats how it seems in my area. I hate having to track down OEM parts for one of the Nordyne plethora of clone brands.

Your defrost cycle might be out of adjustment, or defrost relay might need replacing.

I would get a tech out to adjust the defrost control.

Could be other things, but either way, get a tech out to have a look.
