I have a site with 6 Trane VAV boxes, and two Voyagers
Some of the VAV's are not functioning

It is controled by a 7 year old Trane Tracer

Where can I download the Manual to trouble shoot this

I believe the Trane system uses a bus called the Comm 5

Are commands to open and close or configure the VAV's sent along the bus?

I gather when I adjust setpoints for each Zone on the Tracker I am controlling the VAV's

Is there any configuration software simular to Johnson
HVAC Pro

Thank you

If it is 7 years old, I doubt it is a comm 5 ccp. The varitrac can be configured and troubleshot with hyperterminal. I believe the settings are 2400,8,none,1,none. I'm not sure on the baud rate, could be 4800. Just make sure your caps lock is on.

The Varitrac and Tracker are over 13 Years old.

I enterd my password in the Tracker front panel
When we adjust the setpoints using the front panel
they do not remain at that value.

Example 80 cooling and 75 Degree heating reverts back to
68 degree heat and 73 Degree cooling

The trouble is like many of these Trane sites the sensors always read warmer than the actual space temperature

I go to override the mode it
tells me that the sensor is is not scheduled

I follow the cover instructions to add a schedule

The time for "first on" locks up at 94:45

It does not respond to the Plus or Minus keys

One sensor has a dial
I tried to
change the mode from local to remote
"That key not allowed here"

Can the keypad be faulty?

I attempted to connect a laptop
the only R-S 232 Connection on either Varitrac is a 25 Pin
Female RS-232 connection

Would it pay to purchase an adaptor for my DB-9 pin null modem cable ??

Thank You
