I have a new gas furnace heat pump combination retrofitted into my older home. I can't seem to get all of the componants running properly together. When I try the test procedures via the T-stat all seems to check out but when ran as a system the main heat(heat pump) does work but my back up(aux/em heat) will not. I'm sure that it is a wiring issue but can't seem to come up with a solution.

I have an Amana 2-stage downflow furnace M3AMS90703BXA combined with a RHF42C2C heat pump c/w outdoor sensor with 8-wire ran to both from a Honeywell TH8320U t-stat. I have tried to follow the wiring diagram but they don't seem to be the same to that of the t-stat.
Can anyone help?

First, you should be getting your installer to deal with this. (It was professionally installed, I'm sure).

Second, you're in the fireplace forum.

Third, read the rules re DIY help.

Is that you Mike?

Perhaps you have the emergency heat locked out through the outdoor sensor, and with our mild temps it won't come on.
Check the set up codes in the Honeywell manual.
