Does anyone have experience installing these power vent systems. They are intended to illiminate the need for an exhaust vent up the side of the house on an under the house 80% furnace. It just terminates at the exit point. Any feedback appreciated.

They are nice. Little pricey but they work. They mount right by the exit of the flue pipe. You run a control wire from furnace to swg. You also need 115v to swg. It also has a post purge which is nice. They are negative pressure not positive. This is why it mounts on the end and pulls the flue gases thru

We have a bunch of them up here. The install is straight forward. A few things worth mentioning:
-Get your draft close with the SWG damper, then fine tune it with your barometric damper.
-If the furnace has 6" smoke pipe, keep it 6" all the way to the power venter and reduce it there. (or whatever size it may be)
-Make sure you have enough makeup air.
-If your exhaust temps are too low, it won't last 2 years.
-SWG super lube - get some for your truck.
One last thing. The first time you put power to it, it's going to run anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, this is normal. Let it run until it quits. You will think it's broken, just sit back & wait.

Yes under the house, anyways job complete went with flue pipe instead of swg I do appreciate all responses. New orleans has a lot of under house installations they can really suck but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I am looking at this region and this is a good heads up for me. We use these all the time in the northeast on oil. A good thing to stay away from IMO unless you are the one doing the service work. So many get junked by improper maintenance and improper installation.
