Has anybody out here used wireless relays? What kind of range and relibility? The customer has 8 buildings spread out over an industrial site. All the starters are located on the roof, so no worries about metal roofs or walls. I can get the power at the panels so I don't need batteries. The customer requests that all exhaust fans shut down on a single command.
Never used wireless, but I belive this a perfect application.

you can try the Kele Frontier line. I used it for Demand load sheding a few years back and it worked OK. they also have a tool that will test wireless signal before you buy them.

As a side note... this should not be used for life safety!!!!

I would try Thermokon.

I have their wireless/batteryless room sensors and so far so good. The receivers can be Lonworks so tying that into BAS isn't a stretch.

I didn't see a FCC certification for Thermokon. But it did have some intersting product. Are you using 868mhz?
