You should be able to get a 3/8" male flare x 1/4" female flare adapter at any Home Depot or Johnstone or wherever. Just make sure you get a 1/4" copper gasket also. Those brass fittings are not designed to make a leak-tight seal against each other without something in between.

If you can't find one, I'll sell you one of mine for $20 + shipping :grin2:

Ya yellow Jacket makes one if I understand what you're after. It's a #19117.

Rob they don't carry quick connects there do they? I know I live out in the woods a bit.....

I had to order mine thru Johnstone. Just call and give them the yellow jacket number.

"Just Better" makes them...
that is what I used to do it.
looks like harbor freight has them here: http://www.harborfreight.com/38-x-14-brass-bushing-68208.html
woah!... wait a minute... Don't you mean 3/8 male x 1/4 female?
Or do you have some other funky way you're doin it?

Though in between the 3/8 line and the core remover, I have those smaller yellowjacket hoses
with the 90 degree shutoff valve for easier flexability in some of those ridiculously tight spaces you have to connect your hoses to.

here's my little brazing job

That looks like 3/8 male NPS x 1/4 female NPS. I think he's looking for flare fittings to hook his 3/8" hose to a 1/4" male flare valve core remover.

I like your tee setup there, you accomplished basically the same thing as those guys with the exorbitantly priced "vacuum manifold" for probably less than 1/10 the cost. I just put a 1/2" NPT nipple, 1/2" NPT full port ball valve, and a 1/2" male NPT x 1/2" male flare adapter on mine and I adapt it up or down to whatever size hose I'm working with, whether it's 5/8", 1/2", 3/8" or 1/4". Works good for me... :grin2:

You are absolutely right.
I forgot, NPT is no good.
You need flared fittings.

I'd edit that post so I don't sound stupid but the mods gave a time limit on editing :/

Haha ya, you saw how much they are charging for that little hose too huh?
What a ripoff.

If anyone wants this little "T" setup for 500 microns in 20-30 minutes, I will make and mail you 1 for $60. Shipping included.
