I have a heil M#H8MPT075F14B1 manufactured in 2006. 2 stage 80%. the hot surface igniter glows but it doesnt light all the time, just sometimes, but gas is going through the burner each time it tries to light. During the warm up of the igniter, the inducer is on high speed, and if it lights, the inducer will go to low speed, so i put a manometer on it, and the gas pressure stays the same regardless of what the inducer is doing. checked voltage to high fire on the gas valve during light up and there is none. I guess after all this my ? is simple. On these furnaces, does the gas valve open on high fire during light up, or is it just the inducer on high speed. I have no power out of the board to high fire on the valve, just low fire, which to me would make sense for low fire to be energized anytime the valve would be opening on high fire. any ideas?

Reg as a pro, and after you have enough post you can ask questions of tech nature in teh pro tech forum, whee you can get answers.
All I can tell you, is that the install manual should have the sequence of operation in it for a heat call.
Gotta love when HEYBOB steps right in there and shuts down that DYI stuff.
Yaaaaaaaa. Im starting to think things are being better monitored
Im in agreement ....... sorry to the guys asking that dont have a lot of posts but its sure a good way of sorting out the DYI's. There not going to spend a lot of time in here being their furnace breaks down a few times over the years.
