We presently have 8 in the field up and running since the beginning of the year. There are 3 others on job sites still under construction and all the direct offices have orders pending for them. So they are available.

J,

You were close. We originally made 5 machines off the assembly. 2 are in a hospital just outside of Phila., 1 is in New York, 1 is in Atlanta and the last is in Charolette. Exactly which one started first depends on which engineer you ask.

The 23XRV is the 23XL with a built on VFD. She will look slightly different than the XL in that the compressor is mounted on the condenser instead of the cooler barrel. There are also some major changes in the operation of the compressor. This compressor is a tri-rotor screw so it can do more capacity with less energy. Send me an email and I can send you the sales information.

It also depends on which Carrier mechanic you talk to.
I ran into one in my corner of the world & he said that he started up the first 23XRV.
This guy was also the first Carrier mechanic in the country to install a VFD on a 19XR.
WOW! All this ground breaking stuff taking place right here in my back yard.

But seriously, its my understanding that they are available & that the speed drive is 0 to 300Hz (200 or 300, somewhere around there) to give more ranges or levels of capacity.

J,
Just give me a heads up. I cover 5 states so I'm not always at the main office either.

Chill,

These machines are built at our Charlotte Plant. We only make large air handlers and RTU's in Monterrey.
