I have a 38YH030 heat pump and a 40QH036 air handler
Can someone tell me the SEER/HSPF ratings of this system? The Carrier website didn't have any data on it. All I have is that is has an ARI efficiency rating of 9.50
We don't want to pay $400 a month to use the air conditioner so we are replacing it with a 18.0 SEER infinity system and 9.0 HSPF heat pump.
Thanks for the info.

It was installed in 1989.

I show right around 9 SEER and 6.95 HSPF for that.

There's not much more we can do, we have several feet of the highest level insulation you can get all the way around the house which is constructed of layers of wood, cinderblock, and brick and several vents and fans in the attic to blow out hot air. If we were to run our current ACs at 78 degrees all month our electric bill would be above $600. Now we keep it at a toasty 84 and keep the bill to around $250.
Carrier is giving us a $2100 rebate on the equipment.
