I realize that this is most likely a highly guarded secret, but I'm curious to find out what the average unit costs would be for the Carrier system units I bought would actually be...
- Infinity 96 100,000 BTU
- Infinity 16 2-ton Heat-pump
This is not a DIY issue, just curious as to the average margins on installation.
I seem to have got a very competitive price on the full install, considering the installation of completely new trunkline ductwork. (everything new "below" the supply duct drops in the basement ceiling, due to substantially re-positioning the furnace...)
I would never suggest a DIY install, and I'm very happy with the professional installation work to date. A rough ballpark is all I'm after.
PM or e-mail, if you are not comfortable posting.
Thanks.
