"does anybody know the proper way to wire up a gas valve currently I got it th to rh then w to th-tr and common from th-tr and tr to high limit, But valve is not being controlled by the t-stat"
The reason why you didnt get the answers to your questions is because you do not have PRO STATUS. This question posted in the pro's forum would have been answered almost instantly.
Relax, chill out and try to get your professional status so we can help you in the future.

If you can't wire a gas valve, you need to sit on the bench. ;)
Now, play nice with others, and they might just help you. There are some really smart fellars around here that enjoy helping others.

Throne, I too was a union man for many years. I got in the hard way, not thru uncle Jack or daddy Warbucks. You need to grow up a little pal. There are alot of good non-union service people out there. I have seen union brothers screw up many times. It seems they care more about their brothers and their local than their CUSTOMERS. Get off your high horse, dude. You are not special.

because you don't answer the mans question you are a non union scab rat. Must be something they taught him in union school if your not with us you are against us. I think there are a lot of professionals who are not union members and a lot that are.

If you're Union you know damn well there's rules to follow. It's the same thing here. Quit sounding like a Toilet,Throne. Get your pro status and then post where you need to. You're not making a great impression for your Union.

If coolwhip can't wire up a gas valve without advice I think that just maybe he is a cheap HO. Even if he is not a cheap HO he needs to call at least someone who can find his ass with both hands to wire it. He sounds dangerous.

I am proud to be a rat, if that means I am man enough to make my own way, my own decisions in my work and how much I can or may not want to do in my job.
Since about 95% of the trades in the US are non-union rats, I think it is safe to say that the merit shop attitude has prevailed.

Coolwhip can wire a gas valve. I think he was quoting the original poster.

I dont know Bob...the old eyeballs are starting to get strained. I think I need Bifocals...18 years of reading faded schematics in dark basements.
I can wire anything as long as it makes sense. :D My old boss would make schematics for me and I would crumple them up and throw them away as soon as I left the shop. It was a tradition! they never made any sense.

For all you cry babies out there, I posted a question that I already knew tha answer to, I was just told this was a good site to come to , to get assistance to and all I got hit with was a bunch of garbage right out of the gate so I passed back to ya'll what I got. The Golden Rule Gentlemen. "It was ammazing the ones that cried the most was the one that was the biggest jerks to begin with." Dont like being called scab rats? "WELL QUIT ACTING LIKE SCAB RAT'S" And dont worry I wont be asking any more questions.

Cheerios have a little bitter taste this morning throne? Why must there be a difference in professionals? My goals are to make a living for my family, live right, treat the customer right, and do the best job that I am capable of. What does that have to do with joining some union? Nothing here anyway. Have a good day.

I think Throne should have spent a little more time reading the rules. ( see appropriate rules below ) As for asking questions that you already know the answers to we really don't appreciate being tested and insulted at the same time. If you wanted to test our knowledge you could have said so in the post which has been done so many times before. It would have helped you to get a productive answer if you had became a professional memember also. We all have to worry anymore about the "lawyer" types who are looking over our shoulder to find something to sue about. The question was about a gas valve and you didn't appear to be a professional in this industry by the post, in which it appeared that you were a do it yourselfer and if so, you don't need to be touching a gas valve. I would never give that kind of advice to someone unless they were a professional. You and your families life is more important than that. Last time I checked gas was explosive. Chill out come back as a professional and quit calling people names because you take a little ribbing and everything will be ok. In other words be a professional.
Rules
All members must treat other members with respect. Anyone who posts defamatory, insulting or otherwise disrespectful comments towards others in the HVAC industry will find their posts deleted and possibly their posting privileges suspended or revoked.
Any member that becomes belligerent, argumentative, posts smart-ass comments or requires too much attention of the moderators will lose their posting privileges.
