Just want to 'educate' myself. I was reading somewhere and came across this:

http://no_DIY.com

What are the pro's and con's of HSI vs IFR?

If I understand correctly, the HSI heats the filament so it is cherry hot, then gas comes out and burner is on.

IFR is probably like modern gas stove (or gas grill), a spark is produced while gas is on, then burner is on.

Any technology is better than the other?
Just curious.

I know you are a self proclaimed DIYer. This is not the first time you have posted links to DIY sites.

Please do not do it again or your account will be shut off.

This will be your only warning from me.

thx
