I have just installed a goodman unit, the airhandler under my house. I'am getting my line voltage, but im losing my control voltage that call for cooling... Compressor contact not pulling in on my unit when calling for cooling... my indoor blower runs...so i know i got my 24 volts from my secondary side of transformer. The red 24 volt wire coming from my transformer is tied into power wire to the thermostat, and power wire to (R) on the circut board of the unit... I have yellow wire from my unit to my yellow wire from theromstat. I have my black from my unit to the blue common wire feeding back to the thermostat...my (orange)wire to my reversing valve from the unit to the thermostat... and my heat strip is working and etc...but i'm losing my control voltage somewhere going back to my contactor calling for cooling... i will be glad to get some advice.

Transfromer (_) wire color:

primary side - (o) 240v -blower
(w) going to common

secondary side (r) 24v going to red thermostat and unit
(g) going to common

I dont use black and red on primary side...i didnt need those voltages...

First and foremost... no DIY advise is allowed here. If you're a pro, register as one and someone can help you.

Now, to break the rules about the advise.... double check everything. Once you've done that, call someone who knows what to check :)

Not being smart, but even a simple mistake can (and sometimes does) end up costing you.
