a company has 2 new 24 and 12 ton chillers both have had lots of problems on start up and after 35 days they called me in. one had some leaks from day one and i don't know what the other guys did. the 12 ton two compressors, has a bad chattering like a valve or head pressure control sticking then shuts down on lo presure. they have a Drake controller like PSG or something like that and the grounding shield on the hi side sensor shorted to ground through my gauge set and shorted the control fuse and now the controller is dead. why is the shielding on the sensors hot? I taped up all 4 ends so they don't short again

I believe the legacy IS a drake that has been repackaged. As far as the sensor issue, id bet you have a nicked wire in there somewhere. shut er down and start testing....
