View Full Version : Question For The Tracer UPCM Guru's

We have a small site that is running UPCM Firmware Version 2.5 and the front end site PC is running Summit Rev 1.
Our company has the Rover Version 5.00 (?) that'll connect to Comm 4 & Comm 5 that we just purchased this year.

Questions:
1. Will our Rover software connect to this UPCM, and will it
allow us to revise programming ?
2. Can we upload the existing UPCM programming or do we need
the original backup files ?
3. Private email me if you can help us out with a minor
revision. I am busy with a large job and just cannot get
to this right now.

1) No, Rover cannot connect to UPCM
2) Yes you can upload....only if you have UPCMEDIT Software


UPCM communicates using comm3

actually PCM is comm3 and UPCM is comm4 but the answer is still no rover comm4 talks to vav and tuc only

I've got the PCM Edit software Version 3.1
And also the UPCM Edit software (don't see a version)
Will that connect to this controller?
If not, what software version do I need?
What are the Trane part numbers for the cable setup to connect to my laptop?

It is and they are: cable = 35914260
adapter = 35914262
