Hi everyone,
To start off, I should make clear I do not work in this industry and Im not sure how most of this works.
We are using LonStation 04.06.00 to control our HVAC system dampers and such. The computer that has LonStation installed on it has a PCC-10 Echelon Network card installed in it, there is a cable that runs from our HVAC system that attaches to this PCC-10 card.
Everything was working fine on this setup, but we would get occasions where the system would lockup while accessing LonStation. Reboot the computer and everything would be fine again. Then this problem started getting more frequent. We thought the problem might be with the PC itself.
I am trying to replicate this setup on a new PC. I installed LonStation, LonSpec, and RapidZone from the original CDs given to us by the company that installed the HVAC system. I installed the PCC-10 drivers from a CD they also gave us. The problem I am having, is anytime the system tries to access the PCC-10 card, either thru LonStation or thru the "LonWorks" application in the Control Panel the system goes into a Hard Lock. You cant do anything and have to reboot the machine. Any ideas what could be wrong, or any suggestions on things to try ?
I have also tried making an exact image of the Hard Drive of the original Computer and then restored the image to the new PC, same results. Everything else seems to work fine, just anytime the computer looks at that PCC-10 card it locks up. Something wrong with the Card? Any way to tell ? Anyone out there have a similar setup with an Echelon PCC-10 card ? What are the settings in "LonWorks" supposed to be set at ? Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks guys!
