I have a Bryant 7-day Programmable Thermostat model # TSTATBBP2S01-B, on a Carrier/Day&Night Heat Pump System. Recently it has stopped functioning as designed. With the fan in AUTO mode, when the temperature reaches the pre-set level the fan no longer shuts down after the 90 second programmed run-on time. Of course I first suspected a problem (stuck relay) with the fan relay/circuit board assembly. I replaced this component and the fan still runs continuously after the set temperature has been reached. The fan mode button display switches easily on the controller display between "AUTO" and "ON", but there is no change in fan function between these two settings - the fan just runs continuously when it should shut down in the "AUTO" mode.
My question would now be: Is there any way that the thermostat can be bench tested to determine if there is a faulty component within the controller that needs to be replaced? Is it possible to have the thermostat serviced to fix this type of problem or is it necessary to just replace the entire unit?
If you have any other insights on why the fan runs continuously when it should be shutting down after 90 seconds in the "AUTO" mode, please let me know. I would appreciate any recommendations you might have.

If you have continuity between R & G or G & C when the fan is in auto the Tstat is bad. Replace it
