hey im new to this computer scene but i have been self employed in the hvac field for ten years. i was wonder if there was some sites or progams that i could download that would give me tech info, or where i could run a model and serial number to cross parts

Are you a dealer for any of the major brands? Most dealers will receive access to the sites of the brands they rep. There you will find all the info you need. If you are not a dealer, some of the sites will let you access them anyway. Heil, Ducane and some of the others do not require user names or passwords, some others such as Rheemnet and American Standard you must be registered as a dealer.
