Heard some talk of distributor inventories being too high. Has anyone experienced this? Any deals to be had out there? How do you handle the inventory situation, if you'd not use the unit right away?

distributor inventories? Not in Houston, ours never has enough most of the time, maybe in some of the smaller cities this might be.

every distributor controls his own inventory. Your local one may be busting at the seams and the next one may have one 3 ton unit left on the shelf. There are cases where price increases have triggered some additional stocking at the lower price.

Several Florida distributors are having overstock price reductions on 14-15 SEER single speed outdoor units.

Seems with the 13 SEER minimum, most consumers are going with a builders model, or the top of the line system, not many sales in the middle.

Where did you hear this?

Are you just a homeowner trying to find if there is a deal to be had?
