aux heat question

We had to use the heat for the first time this season last night. When I first turned the heat on the aux heat came on for about 2 minutes. When the heat strips came on there was a slight burnt smell coming out of the vents. Is this normal for heat strips or is it something I need to have checked out? Im hoping it was just becuase its the first time they have come on in several months.

Dust on the heat strips after hibernation is normal and will create a slight, temporary odor.

the smell is the dost that accumalated on the elements during the cooling season its normal
