On these units, does the combustion motor always run 24 hrs a day?
Wiring diagram shows motor connected to 208 side of trans..
Only changes speed when ignition occurs?

Motor should not run 24/7. I can't picture the schematic, where is the heat relay? Is that before the transformer? I would check that.

No it should not run 24/7. And that's the final answer.
Check your wiring riggings

Check your wiring riggings.
Check your limit switch that trips causing the exhaust to run 24/7

Thanks guys. We will get a tech there to check the harness and other wires for shorts.

the relay on the UCP took a hit and arked closed check this outhttp://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2479/theatsx2.jpgcheck that motor amps might go witha new one there also...or bring a shovel with you in DECEMBER when the motor beats up the relay within the board again.....good luck almosrt forgot the motor tag and the actual volts to it might be overpulling thru the relay?

The motor is probably shorted to ground but has enough resistance to keep it moving since only one leg is switched and not short out, seen that many times.

actually, on this unit, YCD180B3H0HB, there isn't a H1 relay. it uses the ignition module to turn the motor on/off and switch between HI and LO speed. see Service Facts: YC_-SVF02A-EN. it would appear that the way it is wired would have it run 24/7, however, it should not. this unit is basically a Voyager with Relitel controls. the Precedent series was kind of a start from scratch thing with Reliatel controls.
your model is a 208-230VAC unit. make sure that both transformers are tapped properly for the voltage you actually have. anything under 220-225 VAC and i would retap it on the 208. at the higher 230 tap, and if you have 208, causes the relays and contactor coils to draw more amperage. i have seen chatter burn these up (see maxster) especially since it is possible to run down to 200 VAC on occasion.

I havn't been back to job yet? As JAY pointed out diagram shows direct wiring?
Is a winding diagram of the motor available with the leads identified?
Max, why would 230 side of trans show ground if motor is 230V 1ph ? Trans would blow out.
