Well I posted a few weeks back in a post asking for your input on upgrading to 36 from 18.
Well I ended up buying the 36V delwat 4 piece kit...No i didn't pay 800 from HD or Lowes...bought on ebay for 542.01
Now I can give you my review of it. well I used to use 4 batteries with 2 on charge waiting for my 18v XRP. I only have 2 batteries for the 36V and i think its all that will be needed. I have used the tools now for 3 weeks
The tools are just as light as the 18V. They are a tad bigger than the 18V but feel like same weight.
Recip saw is now 3000 spm with 1 1/8 stroke..(Not much different from 18)
Cir. saw is flat out nasty now with 7 1/4 blade and 4000rpm (highly impressed with this saw)
hammerdrill/driver is a tad slower in 3rd gear but the power is incredible. In first gear with 1 1/8 long auger bit the drill doesn't even bog down drilling through four 2x6 nailed together. My 18V could also do that but only a few times before battery death.
Flashlight is nice....1 fully charged battery will run the light for 8 hours.
Well I have been very happy so far (knock on wood) I have noticed the tools get warm during use and not the battery
I never pull a cord and I install in huge custom homes drilling hundreds of holes and cutting a ton of TGI for basement installs. Well thanks for your Input and I hope this post helped someone thinking about getting the 36V.
The LITH ION seems to last a whole lot longer.
