I would be interested in hearing about '07 plans also--what's going on in St. Louis? Saw another thread make a reference to it.

Hey gang --

All the plans for Comfortech 2007 are underway, but it is too early to spill the beans on anything yet. Here's what we do know: It will be held in St. Louis, MO and it will be held September 26-29, 2007.

As we get more information we will post it here and on our official Comfortech Website which can be found at http://www.hvaccomfortech.com.

And don't yell at me about breaking the rules with the URL. Its for informational and educational purposes!!!

For those of you who attended this year -- I'd love to see your thoughts on the show and hear suggestions of topics that you'd be interested in seeing next year.

For those of you who didn't attend, I hope you'll see the error of your ways <grin> and join us in St. Louis next year.

The Ed.

(edit... He means "The Ohio Hammer")

My birthday falls right in the middle of Comfortech. I think I will treat myself to the show and pretend all the trinkets and trash giveaways are birthday presents.

Wish those dates were different. For guys like me, Carrier and Bryant hold their Mid West Meetings around the same time.

Makes a conflict of interest for me.

I was hoping that Maytag, et al, will be there with the IQDrive version of their heat pump. Alas, they tell me it won't happen until 2008. Dammit!

I believe you're wrong about this. Comfortech 2007 is in Nordyne's backyard -- St. Louis. I 'm almost certain they will be in attendance and am hoping they will be a big player in the tradeshow. Whether they display the IQDrive heat pump remains to be seen, but I think you can count on them being there.

By the way -- I love your screen name. The question is, where did Napoleon Solo go?
:D

Thanks! I had to get rid of Solo, he kept hitting on me. <G> Such is the life of a TV secret agent!
Anyhow, I just received an Email from Nordyne, saying EXplicitly, that the IQDrive heat pumps won't be here until 1Q2008.
I am sure they are showing the air conditioner, and heck, they may show the HP, but whether or not I can get one before this intro date remains to be seen. A few months back, they were talking mid 2007, so... I am guessing the IQDrive AC is selling well, and I'll bet their hands are full with the AC units alone!
Given how wonderfully the inverter minisplits work, one can see how I am waiting for an inverter central system with bated breath. (note correct spelling)

I'd heard Solo went over to T.H.R.U.S.H. I guess that was just an ugly rumour.

Maybe Nordyne will have a prototype at Comfortech. We can only hope. Serious question here -- how do you see this product helping your business? Will there be training issues with the new technology?

I heard he went over to T.H.R.U.S.T. OK, I'll stop before I go too far.

My business? Well, I do spec HPs for residential use. Given the very low noise, high comfort, and super high efficiency, these things, I would expect, practically sell themselves.

Training, I am sure, will be a bit of an issue. However, if these things are no more complicated than a high end inverter minisplit with a wired remote (which they shouldn't be) how bad can it be?
