Hi, I need to recover refrigerant from a Magic Pak unit that only has a low-side valve :gah:
How do I hook the hoses up without having a High-Side valve...I am still new to the field especially with Magic Paks...please HELP
Thanks

What are you doing with this unit? When I repair refrigerant leaks, I use a bullet valve to assist recovery. Back at the shop I would braze a liquid line access port into the location where the bullet valve was (b/c they will inevitably leak) after making the repair and prior to recharging. Be sure to write a note on the access panel about the LL access port for the benefit of future techs.

Vice grip piercing tool. Quick, easy, no additional tool required. Clamp on pull charge and move on.
