Have a customer who is looking for all packaged rooftop equipment (gas/electric) on a job to be a minimum 12 EER on all three phase equipment.

There are a few units (3, 4 & 5 ton) and some that are in the 6, 10, 12.5 and 15 ton size. I cannot find anyone that offers a minimum 12 EER (not SEER) unit and wondered if anyone knew what brands were out there that met that demand.

I tried:

Trane
Carrier
ICP
Lennox

None of these meet that requirement. Most are in the 10-11 EER but none meet the 12.

Maybe my customer is just confused with the 13 SEER single phase stuff??

Thanks

does your customer have an excellent history of keeping the equipment clean and in top notch shape? if not, then try to convince them that a dirty 12 EER unit uses just as much energy as a dirty 10 EER unit, so save the money and headaches. if they do have a good maintenance record, then by all means, go for the gold! poor selection, cheap installation, and terrible maintenance doesn't do anybody any good. good luck!

I think those are single phase units .. not three phase.

If I read it correctly, his customer is implementing the minimum. It ain't an uncle sam minimum.

Carrier can do it in 4 thru 10 ton units.
