What are you all using when there is a need to run a linest on the exterior walls for longer distances? I've looked at what the supply houses are selling (3X4" chanell) and that is selling almost $30 for a 6.5 foot length. I've used this and it works great but I am needing about 50 feet plus fittings to make this look good which is pricing me out of the job. Anyone used down spout gutter? This seems to be the most economical and should be weather resistant. I look forward to your comments.

Why not. But seems it would be difficult fishing lineset into the down spout.

Gutters are common around here. You cut a seam down the back side and just open it to wrap around lineset. Cheap and looks pretty good too.

i used downspout back in the day. cut a strip down the back, secure lineset to wall, put downspout over lineset and use bracket to secure the downspout.

Our cheap president loves downspout, the installers hate it. About pay in extra labor if it isn't a straight shot when the line hide costs extra.
