Just got a Cooper srh77a the blue box and really like it so far.
The 4011 Pipe strap probe is really nice and I rewired the Digi Cool to accept it.
It can also adjust up to 4" pipe I believe.

Anyone have the Testo 110 or 922? About to order one. Really thinking 922 with wireless probe kit. Anyone got one? Jim Bergmann have any suggestions? How well does the wireless kit work?

Have the EUROTHERM SH 66 , later known as the COOPER SH66A , has outlasted a few of the other brands and never had any problems.

Just got the SH66A to replace a fluke 52. I am not seeing how to attach the 4011 pipe strap probe to a pipe. It came with 2 elastic straps. How do you guys have the straps connected to the probe ?

If you are looking at the sensor thread away in the space on the outside then loop back towards you thru the center space.
From there the strap goes around the pipe and v groove.

When it goes thru the v, hang on to the sensor and pull until tight.

Not so sure the Testo is the way to guy. As much as I approve of Testo there are instruments that do as good a job much more reasonable.

That is what I did but was lost as to why there where 2 straps, never expected a replacement strap

Another vote for the Cooper box. I have been very happy with mine for the past 7 years.

I have to admit that I feel like I stepped back 15yrs looking at the cooper blue box. I use to have one of those when I started out and I certainly is/was the most reliable and accurate in my opinion. Today I use the fieldpiece digita dual temp. It is fast and seems accurate

I've bought 3 all seperatly and only one came with an extra strap.
I figured it was Oops
They are excellent for pipe temps
One of the best IMO

There used to be a good reason people joked that UEI stood for Unreliable Electrical Instruments, but supposedly they have improved over the years.

I have a UEI amp clamp it is one of the best I have had. I had a dual scale thermometer for about 20 years. It died a while ago. I replaced it with the red cooper. Got a good deal on it. Oh I also have the UEI leak detector. I haven't had to use it a lot but I like it better than my tif 1-xz.

I have a uei dl379 as one of my back up meters, its a good reliable meter with lots of functions and reasonably priced. As for temp measurement I have lots of k type tcouple probes and clamps, a cooper atkins blue box, digicool manifold with dc thermistors and various other temp measuring tools, the cooper atkins is the most accurate and quick acting I have temp/humidity meter I have ever used. It has a permanent home in my truck next to my Bacharach h10

UEi has upped their game as you say, Ice. I got the DT304 with four inputs. Uses K-couples.
Thee Cooper would be great to have, but for me it takes up too much space. I have so much new electronic gear from FP and Testo I don't have the room in the truck.
Everything is in padded pistol cases and briefcases, there is room for nothing else.

whatever is fastest and most accurate.
i prefer cooper-atkins
and my testo 905T2 is most awesome for quick surface temps
i also have a fieldpiece dual temp meter that uses more readily available type K probes, and it is by far the best bang for your buck!

I have the Cooper SH66, my second one (first one in black case was stolen)for about 10 years now. I used to use the FLuke TK80, that went bad after about 10 years of beating on it. I still use the thermocouple sensors on my Fluke 116 meter and they also work fine with a little pin converter.
