Servicing old account's

I went back to a job, that I installed in 1982, 5 out of the 10 condensers were still working?????.
You won't believe it!!!!.
First year Janitrol came out, The ones with no condensers guards on it, ( bare fins ) You know the one's.

seeing that there was 100 veiws and no post they all must be rookies. I remeber going to one of my first oncalls,to a manssion house with an old,old, double converted steam boiler.(wood,coal,to oil. anyway I call up a plumber freind and he talks me thru the water cut off stuff ,and it's up and running after about an hr I'm looking at this thing running and seriously questioning wether I should have turned it back on.another tech knew the lady and sold her a new boiler.
a good point about this is there is all kinds of old accounts,units, houses,peoples knowledge,and of couse the ones that dipped you out of a commision
