I have a site with two UNT controllers, eachcontrolling a five ton package unit .

The UNT's are difficult to get to.
The N2 bus is controlled by an NAE.
The building engineer does not have a laptop,
I want him to be able to adjust setpoints and occupied periods
I do not wish to rewire the UNTS

Can I add a Johnson TEC21 03-2 Thermostat with N2 Bus, Multi-stage

To the N2 bus ,power it up
and add the points to the NAE
I would like to use this as the interface device, but do not feel like removing wires from the B.O.
of the UNT and connecting them to the
TEC21

I am assuming that the points on the T-STAT are N-30 object types.
Can the NAEr
ead the output points on the TEC and
have the UNT still control the Packge unit.
Would it be easier, actually would it be about the same price, to connect a Zone Terminal Device instead.

Thank You

Don't bother with the ZT terminal. Old technology. The TEC would be kind of messy. If you have an NAE, sell your customer on a cheap desktop computer, a 5 port switch and patch cable and use it as a workstation. It will give him much more capability and he will be much happier for it.

The ZT or the TEC would be taking a step backwards.

Use the NAE... that's what's it's for.

It is Three sites we did this at
We had to to it the NAE and N30'S were overkill
I am talking about small 2 ton units
I relied on interlock control objects
It reads the the points and uses the conditional
if and then .....

Thank you
