Finally going to retire my ancient Kane-May 9101. It's tired but still working. Do it now before I spend $350.00 on a major tune-up.

I've never had a hand held but I got a really great deal on it C75 UEI Analyser (handle broken on alum case and a jammed printer got me $$$ off :D I fixed the printer and I'll pick up a handle in the morning) ... The first thing I've done is spent $30.00 on NiMH batts. Are these a quality unit? Anyone else have one?

Everyone's flogging analysers right now since it is the season so there's a lot of choice. I still haven't determined if I'm going to need NOx yet and nothing has come down the pipe for the stuff I work on. This unit doesn't have it nor can it be added like the Testo, I think.

my partner has a uei and it dose just fine. many will rag on uei but i have always had good luck with them. then agin i tend to take better care of my tools than most of the techs I have run into.

The next step is the most important one, get the training to learn how to interpret the readings that analyzer is giving you.

Best guy for the job is Jim Davis with NCI http://www.nationalcomfortinstitute.com
