Does York just not advertise as much as Trane, carrier, Lennox, is it that York doesn't have as many dealers, or is it that York is not as good a quality unit as the other 3 "premium" brands because there is hardly ever any mention of York when homeowners are considering a new system on this forum. Basically just wondering what yall think about York residential equipment and why y'all think it's not included in most homeowners thoughts of a premium brand of HVAC.

York is our major line but it seems I always have to explain to my potential customers that York is the same caliber equipment as trane, carrier, Lennox. Maybe it's just in my area. M&A supply took over distribution of York in my area and they are doing a much better job than prior distributers of getting the product out there and advertising dollars

York cooled the World Trade Center, US Capitol, English Channel Tunnel, oodles of big stuff around the world. But without residential advertising, and they are doing more of it lately, people don't know the name. So sell your name!

Nuttin wrong with York. As good as any IMO. They will spend money to advertise if they have distributors and dealers willing to step up.

I'm not a big fan of YORK. They have good systems don't get me wrong, and the reheat systems are great. In my opinion as a commercial service tech, the commercial units are not set up to be tech friendly. Huge access doors with no handles, the door brackets suck, and the schematics don't seem to last long as other brands like they are poorly laminated or something. Operational and lifetime of unit wise, it's a great unit

York warranty stuff is a breaze through our distributer, they charge us $0 for warranty parts unlike most post it on your account until they send the bad part back to manufacturer and they will hop in the truck and bring us the part to the job. M&A supply's customer service is top notch and the products are great too. We have very few problems. The gas pack is the best out of any brand IMO
