Anybody ever had any luck unsticking reversing valve with one of these. I was at a convention the other day any a salesman was trying to sell me on this. I take care of a bunch of watersource heatpumps that have problems with reversing valves sticking in heat mode. This would be great if it works. I just wonder if a valve is sticking, then its gonna have to be replaced anyway.

YES!!
I have unstuck many a LLS, hot gas bypass valves, and reversing valves with temporary success.
Also a must when recovering from dead systems utilizing LLS.
Awesome tool, stays in my veto

I have 2 of them but have never used them on a heat pump reversing valve. They do work great for lifting pumpdown solenoids, hot gas solenoids, and picking up your bucket of screws when they fall out all over the ground.......

The magnet only helps if the solenoid is bad. If something's binding inside the valve body then the reversing valve needs replaced. It's one of those tools you won't need often but when you do there's no substitute.

I have an old microwave. Where are the magnets located?

I don't know where there at i don't personally work on them. It's a commercial microwave though right like they use in restaurants. I think they are just in the back somewhere

They will be in the magnetron. You have to take the whole thing apart basically....

I've found they only work on smaller solenoid stems. Tried it on a couple of mkc2's (the 5/8 stems) and no dice. Still nice for the smaller stuff.
