Does anyone know how to tell the hp of a motor by measuring the iron stack of the rotor. Someone told me there is a way to compute it. Just curious

Never heard of it before but apparently it's true - see page C-3:

You can also figure it by motor weight or motor volume but the link above is probably more accurate than either of these two methods.
