can you put radiant floor heat down on top of the plywood subfloor , before you put the finished floor down, .

Plates are made that allow you to do this. The pipe snaps in the plates and the floor then goes over the top of the plates. The plates are made of wood.

i would use gypcrete if you can. you put the lines on the floor with snails, then you pour gypcrete over the top. it works very well. find a dealer in your area for infloor, and they will have all the info you need.

this is how we did an addition on my fathers house. if you have the room for it you will have much better thermal mass to keep temps even.

raupanel by rehau is a good product but expensive.

It's hydronic, the tubing is not installed in those pics. The pics show the subfloor that was purchased to install the tubing in without using gypcrete.
