I just started doing service work and started working on a boiler that was 40+ years old. It was a check and clean. When I went to turn the thermostat on to test run it I couldnt figure out how to turn it up. It was very old and didnt seam to have any way to turn the heat up. There was a couple switches on the side and top but not sure what they were for since nothing was labeled. Any help would be great. Thanks, Dan

When I first started out I worked with an experienced tech for a month. Don't they do that anymore?

I dont think there is a bigger pride swallower than to have to ask the homeowner how to work the t-stat....:)
I had to do that along time ago when I first went solo and then wondered why the customer didnt beleive anything I said to them about their system......lol
