Infinity Control

I just had a Carrier Infinity system installed. On the MODEL/SERIAL NUMBERS screen of the SERVICE menu, the HEAT PUMP serial and model numbers are blank. The FAN COIL numbers are present. The HEAT PUMP is an Infinity model. Why didn't the control detect the HEAT PUMP info?

Many people including you, are not providing all of the info necessary to solve the problem. Two pieces of info are missing: Given: Infinity control. Not given: HP model, air handler model

Hint: only certain models are "communicating", meaning use the ABCD bus. Other HP's use the standard contact closure method.
Ventilators make things difficult and so does single and dual stage systems.

If thr HP is non-communicating, then diagnostic info is not available from the HP. Stat and air handler are, so you do have an "infinity system". Just not 100%.

HP model: 25HNA648A300
Air Handler Model: FE4ANF005

The installer replaced the board in the HP becuase the factory one was not communiacating with the control. I ran the INSTALL option and verified that the control detected the HP.

The model and s/n are burned in at the factory. When the board is replaced it is a generic board and does not have a model or s/n. This will not affect the operation of your unit in any way.

Since I ran the INSTALL option, I want to make sure I didn't mess anything up. The only prompts were for the electric heat and accessories which I answered all correctly. The startup reported no faults and the A/C appears to be running correctly. Just want to make sure I didn't overlook something.

Just wanted to confirm that plain spoken is 100% correct with his information. I work with the Evolution and when a board is replaced you do loose the SN and Model.
