I have an Amana Tempassure heatpump (model RHA30B2A). When I turned it on this weekend it started blowing warm air... It was on for about an hour and still did not get cold. I turned the unit off at the breaker and restarted.. same thing.. I continuted to let it run and eventually it got cold.. I am not sure if it cold as it used to be.. but the place if comfortable. Also, not sure if this means anything, but when I shut the system down at the thermostat it you can hear a sucking sound in the ducts, as if there is some sort of pump compression. The compressor looks fine (not frost/ice build up). The unit is about 7 years old. Any ideas on what I should do ? Thanks

They do need to be changed, but not in to bad of shape. Would that also cause the warmer air ? Thanks

You really need to call a service contractor.
Please read Forum Rules (http://www.hvac-talk.com/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=1241) especially rules #2 and #10
Thanks,
Bob
