I am getting a Trane XR13 heat pump installed soon and before tech comes out to look, he tells me I will need a Trane thermostat. I told hime I have a Honeywell TH622D which states it hooks up to about any system, Anyway. do any of you folks know if this Honeywell will work with a XR13?, or will I have to spend $$$ for a new Trane Therm?

On the other hand...
that's a Focus Pro not a home store cheapie. Should do just fine with a single stage heat pump with backup electric heat. So unless you are going dual fuel, this stat is all you need. It's like the Trane XL600 stat so if you bought a Trane stat, you could well end up with the same stat :D
