Totaline P474-0100 Control

Have totaline P474-0100 installed in an ICP heatpump with rheem airhandler, Problem replacement thermostat went bad few hours after installation. This new thewrmostat dropped voltage to the RV valve thereby going into heat only. My is does anybody experiend this?

Additional questions, while connecting the Y & O wires together the RV valve will energize, but to heat an HEAT/COOL switch can be installed.
Does anybody see any problems with this?

I have replaced 50 totaline t-stats all doing crazy things. If I go to a house and there is a problem first thing I check is for a totaline.

Try a different brand of thermostat just to see what happens. If it works then you know where the problem is.

We use these stats exclusively for two years on installs and service. They start out great, but I'd say the failure rate has shown to be at least 10%. Dismal. Now we use the Honeywell Pro 5000 & 6000.. so far so good.
