I am working on a dx cooling system running 95# suction & 240# liquid pressures.
Superheat about 20degF. TXV on evap.
I suspected bad compressor valves.
Performed pumpdown and suction pulled down to 0 psi. and held with no problem.
Space temp is 80 deg.outdoor temp 102 deg.

My question is. Can this compressors valves be bad??

Doubt it since it pumped down.

Take a TD at the evap. Interested to know what the return temp is at the airhandler.

First, you should register as a pro, and ask your questions in the pro tech forum.

You should have taken a sc reading.

Sounds more like an under charge, and the txv is wide open, causing the head pressure to be low.

But without more info, no way to tell for sure.

How about using the PERIODS, (they look like these .....) on your keyboard.
Periods, and commas, can sure help in understanding some postings.
