What pressures do you set the tanks at :whistle: for brazing under 1"

I set mine reg pressure 5 acet. And 20 oxy. That's for everything, you want more heat than allow more acet through the handle and adjust the oxy. Can't remember if it's non carborizing or carborizing but I adjust the oxy until the fuzz off the blue flame is gone.

Interested to hear more on this. I was taught that in school just over a year ago.

anybody seen the demonstration where the balloon is filled with acetylene then ignited?

20 is a bit high for oxygen.

I typically run 5 and 5-7 on oxygen.

For bigger stuff, I'll push 7 on acetylene and 10 on oxygen.

And I use a pretty small tip, 0.

I'll turn down the oxy and see how that goes.

Ditto. I two set of torches have a OXY/acetylene set up, and a mapgas and OXY set up.I use the map gas for everything and the OXY/acetylene for larger pipe.

my text book recomendeds 5 acetylene 10 oxy that said i have not seen two techs with the same set up 5 is common but oxy is all over the place.
