I failed at clamp construction so I compensated with Cooper. Will I EVER get a manifold that will be straight up and down , man I am still waiting. I guess I'll start shopping for brass and aluminium bars next. At least I'm on solid ground now.

Take a YJ41 and spin it around so that the hose parks face you.

Well , my main point was to celebrate the clamps !!!
I really like the JB manifold but it's fractions away from working straight up , which means almost a 90 degree offset.
At least I'm solid on my temps now , the Cooper clamps just feel so right.
stay gold jonny

The Cooper clamps do look nice!

I noticed last week that this was being sold seperatly. It's not quite the one I've been waiting for but the lower cost makes it attractive. I have a ton of new rebuild kits for Titan and 41 so I may go that route ( I really like the valves in the JB M5 but the drastic offset is a pain ). I might try flipping the manifold and the hose parks like JP mentioned.
I hope the Coopers last , man my poor old Fluke 52 ( series 1 ) should be resigned for air temp readings and such. The clamp portion of the Cooper is the best I've seen however. I'm working some ideas if the transducers fail.
 Here's to " analog " .

I don't know the M5 but I've had them on the M2 and M4 no problem. It takes a little lining up you can do it. FWIF The J/B and YJ valves look identical to me and the knobs are interchangeable too.

Mine is an M3 , typo on my post. But I understand what you are saying regarding the slanted angle of those models ( ah , the power of the " swing " joint ).
I also bought a Cooper strap sensor for the BS wshp's I work with. I hope dude is wrong about the Cooper sensor failures damn if solving one problem doesn't lead to a new set of them.
New tools inspire me to clean my truck , repair or replace the deaded tools , complete paperwork , and just be better. Today I went to a pneumatic job that I'll be working on and damn if I don't have alot of deaded gauges and bent or clogged adaptors and such. My favorite tubing cutters for 1/4 inch have a broken wheel.deaded , Deaded , DEADED !!! :gah::gah:

I killed one 4011 only after extreme temps. The copper heat sink popped off the foam. The price keeps comping down on the pipe wrap and is more accurate than the wireless version I have. You should do a delta T between the clamp and wrap version. Bet the wrap is quicker if not more accurate as well and 1/2 the price i like.

Ive done this with standard DC sensors.
One secured to the line with a tie, then insulation wrapped around it.
One DC clamp sensor.
Delta T = 0

Still no refrigerant work since I got decent clamps , lol ...figures.
The wrap sensor seems awesome , I clamped it around the steering wheel in the van this morning just to see how to fasten it. I'll get another one as soon as I pay down some tool account.

I like them. They don't slip under their own weight like the wireless one. Do the red wired ones slip if you mount them horizontal?

I truely have not used them yet but thinking about the smooth hard plastic I bet they may very well slip. The spring seems very strong and they don't weigh much but they may indeed have a destiny with some JB Weld and Rainbow Rubber.

I think twisting may cause them to be deaded sooner :.02:
