What is the most bizzare, cheapest, weirdest and or thoughtful tip you have recieved from a customer?

tip is defined by whatever a customer gives you in appreciation for services rendered

I have personally received the following:
Cash - my favorite
scratched scratch off ticket - winner
2 new bicylces
free range chickens
lobster
salmon
wine, burbon, whiskey, case of beer
32" T.V.
tools
concert tickets
VCR
computers
scissors !?!?

This is what I can think of at this time.

You must go above and beyond the call, to get those types of tips.
Or you have high dollar customers.

I like it when I can go to someones grandma that has the same window treatment from the late 70's.

And get her unit going for little to no effort, and walk out asking to call if she has any more problems. Promise her I'll send the bill, since I'm to busy to write one up now.

And If I do send one it's only $25 for the min. charge .

Not to knock anyone for getting tv's or tickets but,
I don't do this for the trohpys

Been offered anything from condoms to pot to cash. I'll leave it to creative minds to decide what I took.

Years ago paid for a furnace because my guy ws set up by the wife and husband found them together. They both had it planed perfectly. He played the part of a mad husband just right on the phone. I was worried about the company reputation so they got a free furnace. He was my best employees so he did not get fired but he did have to pay dead cost for the furnace.

It gave us a wake up call and it never happened again

I get a kick out of seeing that...some homes I walk into seem like they were frozen in time about 1975...Shag carpet (brand new looking), velvet patterned wallpaper, big old Zenith console TV...great stuff.
As far as tips, I've been offered
Ca$h (my favorite also)
Beer
Cookies (almost as good as cash)
Walnuts
And a box of Cheerio's.

I once got two windowshaker AC's...

I installed central AC for a woman, and right as I was getting ready to leave, her son was taking out the two Window AC's that they used before I installed their Central unit.

I asked the guy what he was going to do with them, and he said, taking them to the dump... Ha, I said I would take them if he was going to throw them away!! Now my Detached Garage and my Music practice room in the basement have AC!!!

I replaced a furnace in a garage and when i was nearly finished I needed to go inside to the stat; the homeowner answered the door nude and and invited me in... I was new in the company...I call my boss and ask him how to handle it. He came out to the job and dealt with her as i finished up. I recieve an $1.50 an hour raise.

Another customer (Mr Homeowner) told me and each member of our crew that his wife was a nymph and would do everything in her power to seduce us. He asked us not to give in to her and that he would reward us. We moved about in twos whenever she was around. It was the worst day ever!!! She kept our blood pressure high. She DID DO EVERYTHING except give us a two woman show...Her husband gave us each a hundred dollar bill and fifty free value meal coupons to wendys.
