I've been looking at digitals for awhile and decided to go with the Digi-Cool AK900, my question is about the manifold. The Digi-Cool site says that it is a ball valve manifold. Is this a true ball valve manifold like the JB Revolver, or am I reading it wrong?
I can't wait to order and join the Army out in the trenches!lol

It is a real ball valve manifold. I got to use my coworker's ak900 today and it was very nice.
I am thinking of getting one for my 1250.

I here that in 8 to 10 weeks that Digi-Cool may have a 4 valve Manifold that will fit the AK900

Do you sell just the manifold Roger? I'm not interested in the 4 valve version.

I don't know if I can wait that long, I'm in desperate need of new equipment and have been doing a ton of research on new tools. If I wasn't already bald I would've pulled my hair out by now! Thanks!

I've waffled back and forth on the 4 valve thing.
I really find them useless for the way that I service equipment and so I just stick with YJ 41 manifolds for right now.

the ak has a much better future than the sman.
it has been field tested & beat to hell before being released instead of just going to market & trying to stay ahead of the competition.
i still have a set of analogs in my truck just in case my batteries go dead
& theres no place to go to buy a new one.

I've found it easier to carry a few spare 9Vs....

Batteries VS a set of manifold gages. Batteries a good choice.

i usually buy them by the dozen but then again most of my
digital toys also use 9 v. so far im still on the orig. batt. on my 900
now it will probably die tomarrow.

Thanks for replay.AK 900 seems to be My next toy.I have one analog for 410 and SMAN 3 for R22,and can not complain.Sman is really helpful and save lot of time and frustration. But after readnig some of Your AK900 recommendations have no more doubts about investing money in one
Thanks.

It wont take much to get used to. It will make you wonder why you waited so long.

Just ordered my first digital set(hasnt arrived yet). Went with digicool because of the reputation and reviews on this website. Plus the owner of the company answered all my questions over a phone call that lasted about an hour. I have complete confidence theres no way I will be disappointed. I cant wait to trust my temp/pressure readings.

I just wanted to add that I purchased my AK's from RD Holder tonight and have never seen such GREAT customer service from ordering online! I've received emails about the purchase and a tracking number, all within an hour or 2 of the purchase!
Thanks Roger!
That's how you get repeat business in my book!

Roger's Great to work with!
I absolutely love my digi-cool's. Tough as a rock, and when matched with the velcro sensors they are amazing.
Will never own another brand.
I've purchased many-a-tool, and have never had the owner call after a month to see how you're getting along

Hello everybody.
Just want to say couple words about Mine experience with Digicool AK-900
I spoke to their sales rep.Wednesday and was told that I would have It by Saturday(Have appointment for service job)
I made order right away and Thursday morning had a call from Digicool states that If I want to have It by Sat. have to pay extra so I did.
Today is Friday I have Mine manifold and analyzer but It's nothing but a trouble!
First when the pressure test I made was a huge leak from both High and low side on manifold.
I fixed that by taping with plumbers silicon tape.Happy problem is solved, made a pressure test again just to notice that this manifold is a garbage!
Low side valve when is shut down does not hold a pressure. With vacuum is the same.I guess have to make my job Tomorrow with SMAN 3 I have never problem with .
On Monday have to make a call to digicool, but so far I'm really disappointed.

Ive used mine for a couple days now. Im not a full fledged service tech so I ha ent used it for pressure tests yet. And I plan on gettinf the rapid evac kit once I start pulling vacuums on a regular basis so I wont care if it leaks. My biggest complaint is the temp sensors. I was convinced that the the stretchy velcro sensors were great and I wouldnt miss the clams at all. This is definitely not the case. Strapping those things on 5 times a day is a pain in the ass. I would gladly pay whatever extra it would have been for clamps. But theyre not an option for the ak-900 :(. Other than that tho, I have no complaints. And I loved being the only one with digicools in a company with 25 techs. They were all gathering around like, ooooh, whatcha got there. Then came the jokes. What is that? The first digital guages ever made? All this while I sat back and grinned to myself. I'll have a great set of guages with me at all times while theyre sendinv their testos(and occasionally their smans) in for repair. Then I show them the video that some crazy dude posted of his guages under water and functioning. Now theyre all like, hmmmm. I do need an extra set... haha
