I realized I posted this in the wrong forum.
I got home from work today and my A/C wasn't running. The breaker was tripped, so I checked everything out and reset it and turned it back on, thinking the outside unit wouldn't start. I was going to check the contactor and capacitor to see that they were okay. When I flipped the breaker back, my outside unit began running and the cool air began flowing.
But... it took forever to cool my house off. It has been almost 5 hours now and the house is only down to 82 from 92. I feel like maybe not enough cold air is coming out.
I went up into the attic to check out the blower and it was pretty cool up there. There was cold air "leaking" out of the blower unit near the gasket where the refrigerant lines go in. Is this my problem?
Tomorrow I plan on taking the blower apart to check on the condition of the fan as well, but I figured that cold air coming out into the attic can't be a good thing.
