Hello:

Hope all is well!

I知 deciding between the Friedrich SL28N30 and Friedrich SL36N30 air conditioners and I知 concerned with the differences in the fan/blower noise between the two models.

I知 not concerned with the compressor noise between the two models. While I understand the compressor of the SL36N30 will make more noise than the compressor of the SL28N30, I feel the difference in noise would be minimal in relation to the fan/blower noise the models make.

Please also note I understand there is a difference in the amount of air the two models move/circulate, but what are the part numbers for the fans/blowers of the two models?

If the two models have the same fans/blowers, wouldn稚 it mean the fans/blowers make the same amount of noise, as they are mechanically the same? OR if the two models use the same fan/blower, does that mean that the SL28N30 is electrically programed to turn/spin its fan at slower/lower speeds, which results in less air movement/circulation and ultimately in less noise?

I知 somewhat confused and I知 getting conflicting information from Friedrich itself, having spoken to multiple representatives. Please advise.

Thank you very much!

My applogies, jps; hopefully this is the most applicable/appropriate forum.

Whatever help or insight anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

This is the applicable forum.

I would offfer advice if I could, but the only things made by Friedrich I've worked on have been a few OLD meat cases....
