I don't have a problem with my system, and this is just a thinking question.
First I'm assuming that on a 2-stage system, the evap coil, TXV, and lineset are all sized for the high stage. So, what happens on low stage? I know the blower runs slower, but isn't everthing all out of whack (like pressures and subcooling)? Does this cause a significant loss of efficiency on low stage?
I'm just curious. I have a single-stage unit that works great, but after learning about how all this works, I thought of this question on 2-stage units.
I know there's at least one guy here who can explain this.
